swissMODULAR JOINS HENNIG
Triag International AG, the Swiss manufacturer behind swissMODULAR, is becoming part of Hennig, Inc. Two family-owned companies, a partnership that goes back many years, and one clear intention: to keep building what is already working.
THE BEGINNING OF ANOTHER CHAPTER
After more than 36 years of building up Triag International, Beat Baumgartner and Claudia Müller Baumgartner set out to settle the company’s future for the long term. Three paths were open to them: an investment firm, another Swiss machine tool company, or a customer who had worked alongside them for years and understood what makes swissMODULAR what it is. The Baumgartners chose the customer, and were able to ensure their family stayed with the company. Their nephew Yanick Müller continues as CEO and Sales Director, their daughter Noemi Baumgartner continues to lead marketing, and Beat remains on the board as an advisor. “For us, Hennig and the Goellner family were the right choice. We knew that the company would remain growth-oriented, that there would be a strong commitment to Swiss-made quality, and that the people and the team would continue to matter,” said Beat, Former Owner & CEO of Triag International. “As a family-owned company, they also understand the importance of continuity, team spirit, and respecting what has been built over many years. “We felt that Hennig was the right partner to carry forward what our team, Claudia, and I have built.”
“For us, the fit with swissMODULAR goes back to a mantra our Hennig workholding team has used for many years: Build on the Rock. It has always meant more than a tagline. It’s how we lead: with faith, with our values, and with an eye on what’s next,” states Nick Goellner, Chief Marketing Officer at Hennig. “What makes swissMODULAR especially exciting is the modularity of the system. It gives machinists a platform that grows with their production needs. A shop isn’t only investing in a solution for the parts it is machining today, but in a system that can carry whatever comes next.” “For me this is about much more than adding a product line. It is about bringing together two family-oriented companies with a similar mindset, and creating a strong foundation for longterm growth.”
“Triag International AG has been part of my life for as long as I can remember,” says Yanick Müller, CEO of Triag International AG. “I first worked here during my summer holidays as a child, and even then I experienced what has always made Triag special: a strong sense of teamwork, mutual trust, and the drive to build something together. With Hennig Inc. and the Goellner family, we have found a new owner that shares our values as a family-owned company and, at the same time, opens up new opportunities for future development.”
The two companies have worked together for years, and that is the foundation this is built on. The acquisition brings expertise together, opens new ground in development, production and international marketing, and gives swissMODULAR reach into markets it could not serve alone from Hünenberg.
Hennig’s intention is stated plainly: to keep this work in Switzerland, and to safeguard and grow the knowledge, the skills, and the value they create, for the long term.
Swiss development and Swiss manufacturing stay Swiss.
Going to market, the swissMODULAR name will continue to carry workholding expertise joined to the international strength and experience of an established family business.
